Both cottages were converted from the local stone-built stables and are “topsy-turvy”, in that the bedroom and shower room / WC are on the ground floor and the kitchen, dining and living areas on the first floor. They are provided with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge with coolbox, microwave, toaster, kettle and general utensils, cutlery and crockery, plus a Freeview TV / DVD. Seating in the lounge is provided by a sofa, plus the dining chairs if you chose to invite some friends around to visit you. Prices include the linen, utilities, etc. Please let us know if you would like to access the wireless broadband link and we will let you know how to connect.

We provide large fluffy towels and goose and duck down pillows and duvets are offered as standard, although we can provide non-allergy bedding or blankets, pillows and duvets if you prefer.

If you fancy a break from cooking, we can offer breakfast in The Cornmill, if the Guest House isn't full  (please let us know the previous evening and we'll let you know the cost). The breakfast menu can be seen on the Dining page.

The cottages don't have a washing machine but we are happy to provide you with a laundry service at a nominal charge. There is a clothes dryer in the cottage and you are welcome to use our clothes lines.

Both cottages are non-smoking. Wi-fi access is free of charge, although there are some "black spots" due to the thick stone walls. Let us know if you have any problems.

Hot water in the cottages is via a combi boiler. This can sometimes disconcert guests into thinking that the hot water is not on, as the taps need to be run for between 30 and 45 seconds for the hot water to appear. From a green perspective, we’re looking at what we can do in the future to eliminate this delay and waste of water, but haven’t found a great alternative yet.

Each cottage sleeps two people as there is only one bedroom, each with a king-size bed (Cottage 1 has a sleigh bed and Cottage 2 is a divan).
