Providing High Quality Guest House and Self Catering Accommodation on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park

How to find us

The Cornmill is in Kirkby Mills, just east of Kirkbymoorside on the north side of the A170 which runs from Thirsk, through Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside and Pickering on to Scarborough on the coast. Although there are a number of "cross country" routes, they will all place you on the A170 at some point, either East or West of Kirkbymoorside.

If you are travelling from the west side (Thirsk, Helmsley, etc.), you will effectively bypass Kirkbymoorside, by going straight over at the roundabout (rather than turning left into the town) at Rydale Garages. Travel on for about 500 metres, passing the sports ground on your left hand side and passing the left turn to "Keldholme only" and then take the left turn into Kirby Mills (NOT the right turn which will take you into Kirkby Mills Industrial Estate). Our entrance is about 20 metres up on the right hand side.

If you are travelling from the east side (Scarborough, Pickering, etc.) you will come towards Kirkbymoorside, passing a cross roads with a right turn towards Hutton-Le-Hole. You will then pass some fields on your right - usually with sheep in, and then passed our paddock on the right where you will see our sign. Ignore the turn for Kirkby Mills Industrial Estate on your left and take the right turn into Kirby Mills. Our entrance is about 20 metres up on the right hand side.

Please note that if you are using a Sat-Nav, you will almost definitely be directed into the turning on the south side of the A170 (i.e., into the road to the Industrial Estate) rather than the correct turning on the north side.
